EMBRACING EVOLUTION

We base so much of our identify on the collective ideas of the masses. What it means to be a man, to be a woman, what it means to be strong, to be weak, to be attractive, to be ugly, to be adventurous, to be boring, etc. In doing so we create boundaries that maintain coherence, we start acting according to who we are “suppose” to be.

What are the consequences of this action? We become afraid to act out of character, to others but to ourselves as well. If we truly become the authors of our own story, the adventure is in becoming someone new, becoming who we would otherwise never dare to be. This transformation can only occur if we break away from the patterns and norms that keep us in place, that keep us small.

We must learn to embrace evolution, to continue to learn new things, and to push ourselves out of our comfort zones so that we never regret not giving our lives the very best.

I hope you can find the time to embrace evolution.
